At Unistem, our cryobank stores stem cells in vapour phase of liquid nitrogen to preserve their function and integrity for a long time. The stem cells are stored for a period of 21 years. The ownership of the cells is then transferred to the child once he/she attains adulthood (21 years). It is believed that stem cells can be stored for an indefinite period of time under ideal cryogenic conditions.
